Abstract

The lawyers Avram Iancu and Amos Francu, promoters of justice and rights of Romanians in Transylvania. This article is a tribute to Avram Iancu, on the 200th anniversary of his birth. The parallel between him and Amos Frâncu represents only the beginning of an extensive research that we undertake looking for old documents, yet unpublished. The lawyers Avram Iancu and Amos Frâncu remain emblematic figures in Romanian history, representing courage, devotion, and sacrifice in the fight for socio-political equity, fundamental rights, and freedoms, in promoting the aspirations of the Romanian people in Transylvania. They constitute, over the centuries, a source of inspiration for lawyers and politicians.
