Abstract

Redefi ning the Feminine and the Masculine in Recent Civilization. Psycho-social-pastoral reading. Both masculinity and femininity are an essential part of human nature, but their understanding cannot be achieved without relating to otherness, and the necessary tool in this process is communication. Emotional imbalance exists not because the definition of masculine and feminine is not clear, but because we either do not accept the changes that society is adopting regarding neutral tasks, or we categorically refuse to assume gender roles. The essence is education, counseling and family support, and the Church, through pastoral counseling, can establish a balance in the future of new generations.
