Abstract

The healing at Bethesda and the great healing is a theological word for the miracles of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of John presents Jesus as the one who reveals himself in his words and deeds in order to establish faith in him as the Son of God and Savior of the world. That is why Jesus' miracles are called signs here. For, beyond the miracles performed out of love and compassion for people, these show Who Jesus Christ is: the Savior of the world and the bringer of the Kingdom of God.
