Abstract

We call the state of prayer the free and conscious placement of man in a communion with God in which the believer recognizes God as the center and sole source of his life, adores Him and brings Him due praise and thanks. The Christian is called to acquire this state as a permanent state in his life, so that it becomes a path with Christ to the kingdom of God. Prayer is the natural state of man, because man does not have his truth in himself, but in God. Man is by creation a theonomic being and has a Christological destiny. That is why man’s nature, in its depths, tends towards God. And this movement of man towards fulfillment and perfection is supported and dynamized by the work of God through prayer. Let us strive to attain the state of humble prayer, even when we are not actually praying. Let us have the living faith that God is always present in all the circumstances of our lives, listens to our prayer and fulfills it. May our life be a continuous testimony of God’s love. This is prayer salt.
