Abstract

The present research travels through the conceptual and psycho-emotional universe outlined by the Italian psychiatrist Giacomo Dacquino, trying to identify relevant tracks in the pastoral context of analyzing the emotional realities specific to the third age. We „cut out” from the thought of the emeritus Italian teacher an exciting conviction: we are constantly rebuilding and remodeling ourselves, according to some benchmarks with a deep affective-emotional coefficient; the emotional truth that each of us is interested in love, in the third age more than ever, is constantly demonstrated: the fact of feeling loved greatly increases our self-esteem, whatever age we are. And feelings are - in certain aspects - instruments of the presence of transcendence in our lives.
